Fresh Candle Scents for Hot Indian Summers
When it's 45°C outside, heavy fragrances feel stifling. Light, green and citrus scents that keep a summer home feeling cool.
Avnika Creations द्वारा

In peak summer, rich vanilla and oud can feel like a woollen blanket. The season calls for scents that feel cool, green and airy.
Our summer favourites
- Lemongrass — bright and clean. Try the Lemongrass Morning Jar.
- Eucalyptus and mint — spa-fresh and cooling. See the Eucalyptus Mint Spa Candle.
- Mogra — the flower of summer evenings.
- Vetiver (khus) — earthy and famously cooling; Indian homes once hung khus screens to cool the air.
- Citrus — orange blossom, bergamot, grapefruit.
Using candles in hot weather
- Burn in the evening when rooms are cooler.
- Keep sessions shorter — one to two hours.
- Store candles away from sun-facing windows; soy softens above 30°C.
- Use reed diffusers in the day, candles at night.
