Wedding Return Gifts: Why Candles Work (and How to Order Them)
Personalised, useful and beautiful on a return-gift table — how to plan candle favours for an Indian wedding.
Avnika Creations द्वारा

Return gifts are a gracious tradition at Indian weddings — a thank-you that guests take home. Candles have become a favourite because they're beautiful, personal and actually used.
Why candles?
- They can carry your names and wedding date.
- They come in your wedding colours.
- They're light and easy to carry home — even on a flight.
- Guests light them later and remember the day.
How many do you need?
Count by function. Many families give favours at the sangeet or wedding only; some give smaller tokens at every function. Add 5–10% extra for unexpected guests.
Choosing the format
- Tins — sturdy, affordable, easy to label. Our Jasmine Evening Tin is a favourite.
- Mini jars — more premium.
- Favour boxes — with ribbon and tag.
Timeline
- Order a sample box 6–8 weeks ahead.
- Approve fragrance, colour and label 4–6 weeks ahead.
- Allow 2–4 weeks for production depending on quantity.
Décor too
Many couples order favours and décor together — floating candles for urlis, tapers for tables, pillars for the stage. See wedding favours & décor.
