Scent throw
How strongly a candle's fragrance fills a room — 'cold throw' when unlit, 'hot throw' when burning.
Cold throw is what you smell from the jar before lighting; hot throw is the fragrance released by the melt pool while it burns. Hot throw depends on the wax, the fragrance load, the wick size and the room — a candle that fills a bedroom may feel gentle in a large living room.
For big rooms and lobbies, choose a larger or multi-wick candle.
