Creating a Signature Scent for Your Hotel, Spa or Café
Guests remember how a place smells. How hospitality brands create and use a signature fragrance.
By Avnika Creations

Walk into certain hotels and you know where you are with your eyes closed. A signature scent is one of the most memorable parts of a guest's experience — and one of the easiest to get right.
Choosing the fragrance
Start with the feeling: calm and spa-like, warm and heritage, fresh and modern. A heritage property might choose oud, saffron and rose; a beach resort, citrus and vetiver; a spa, eucalyptus and lavender.
Where to use it
- Lobby: statement candles plus diffusers.
- Corridors: reed diffusers.
- Rooms: mini candles or turndown tealights.
- Spa: candles and essential oils in treatment rooms.
Turning scent into revenue
Guests often ask "what is that smell?". A branded candle in the lobby shop or café counter turns that question into a sale — and a reminder of their stay at home.
Consistency and refills
Scheduled refills keep the scent consistent. See our hotel and spa service.
