Attar
A traditional Indian perfume oil distilled from flowers or woods into a sandalwood base, without alcohol.
Attars have been made in Kannauj for centuries by slowly distilling petals into sandalwood oil. Many of the fragrances we love in candles — rose, mogra, vetiver (khus), oud — have their roots in the attar tradition.
